Votary Original films are our own projects that we invest into and collaborate on with our community of filmmakers. They range from short documentary films, feature films, documentary series, and other passion projects. Our goal is to tell stories that move us on a personal level and create a positive ripple effect.
VESSEL SKATEPARK is a mini-documentary about the story of a small team on their journey to create an indoor space for the skaters of central Massachusetts to come together and maintain community through the challenges of the cold northeast and lack of public space.

We’ve been producing a concept trailer for a feature documentary we want to develop about Major Taylor. The film will be called WHIRLWIND. Major Taylor was the fastest cyclist of his era, setting world records and becoming the 2nd black athlete to win a world championship, becoming a role model for fighting racial discrimination on and off the track. He lived here in Worcester, MA for a lot of his life. We’re really excited to see this film and teaser come together and to tell his story!
